Stranger: Clint rolled over, trying to get comfortable in his bed, but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t manage it. Sighing, he rolled out of bed and started down into the kitchen. The archer was surprised to find Natasha also out of bed, fixing something on the counter. “Couldn’t sleep either, huh?” he asked, hopping onto the counter. “‘S getting really annoying. Coulson said he’d suspend me if I didn’t get at least six hours of sleep tonight.”

You: Natasha looked up from the counter as her partner entered the room, placing down the knife she was using to chop vegetables. She looked up at him as he sat on the counter, which earned him a raised eyebrow. “No. Sleep is running fast then me tonight.” She teased and tossed a baby carrot at him. “Coulson told me the same thing, said he was worried lack of sleep would cause me to kill everyone on base. Nonsense.” She turned and leaned against her counterspace, resting on her elbows and looking over at him. “You want to talk about why you can’t sleep?” She asked carefully

Stranger: He caught the vegetable and grinned, taking a bight out of it. He chewed thoughtfully before saying, “Coulson has a point, you know. Remember that mission in Prague? You didn’t sleep for three days and you ended up taking down that entire enemy team by yourself. I sat up in my nest and played solitaire.” The archer frowned at her next words, sighing. “Nightmares,” he said shortly. “Bad nightmares.”

Stranger: *bite

You: Natasha flashed back a grin and rolled her eyes, her shoulder raised in a ‘so what?’ esq gesture. “Of course I remember Prague. They were very irritating. I do like it when they underestimate me though. Makes it more fun.” She paused and shot him a look. “You forget about how you kept /trying/ to sing over the comms your awful little country songs” She watched his face fall at his sigh and walked over to the sink, picking up a glass before grabbing a bottle of her vodka from the freezer. She pour a good amount and passed it to him. “Drink. It’s the good stuff.” She stated, taking a sip from the bottle herself. She knew all about nightmares. “Clint..I don’t..I’m not great with this, you know that. How can I help?” She asked looking over at him. “What are the dreams about?”

Stranger: “Hey now, don’t you knock Garth Brooks. He is a Country Music legend. It’s not my fault you can’t appreciate my beautiful voice,” he retorted. He took the vodka gratefully and took a long drink. “I- I know, Tash. I appreciate the effort all the same, though,” the archer mumbled, pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes. “He’s just- He’s just always /there./ Whispering orders. In my head. And I /know/ he’s there, but I can’t get the words out and then you- I kill-” Clint stops and takes a deep breath. “I’m his solider again. And, Tash, that scares the hell outta me.”

You: “I would point out that the problem there is that he sings country. I have no interest in songs of tractors and beer. It’s not your voice that I mind, although I do not believe you will be winning any grammys.” She teased with a smirk. Her stomach tightened at his confession, her head tilted back and taking a deep breath and another swig before looking back at him. She reached a hand over toward him, grabbing his wrist swiftly and dragging one of his hands off his eyes. “You are /never/ going to be his solider again” She said venemently. She had been kept up by nightmares of Loki too the past weeks but knew that nothing compared to how Clint felt. She wished deeply she could will her statement to be true. “We’ll know if he comes back, we are more prepared. I know what it’s like, I’ll help you deal with this.” She looked up at him, staring at his face. “I don’t see any of him in your eyes. I just see you.” She stated then took a calming breath. “I admit it scares me too Clint. Fear will make us strong though, right?” She rushed out

Stranger: Clint smiled. “What if the songs were about vodka and Moscow?” he teased. “And I could win a grammy if I wanted, I’m just a little busy what with saving the world and everything…” He trailed off, staring back at her. “Promise- Promise me that if it happens again, you’ll stop me, Tash,” he said, shaking his head. “I can’t go through that again. I won’t come out of it. Promise me that you’ll /stop/ me.”

You: “I would rather drink my vodka then sing about it.” She pressed the bottle to her mouth and took another sip before placing it on the counter “While I think you could do most anything you put your mind too Clint, I think there are only a handful of people who would appriciate your singing.” She teased before growing serious. She looked up at him her eyes fierce and face tight. “I can’t do that. I…I can’t do that.” She turned away from him her arms crossing as she blinked rapidly, ridding her eyes of the unshed tears that grew at thinking of having to do that. Maybe coulson was right and she did need sleep if her emotions rose that easily. “I can’t promise that, I won’t do it.” She looked up at the ceiling “/If/ it happens again, we’ll find a way, we’ll think of something.” She whispered

I love sweaters. Pretty much anything cozy and warm, actually. First thing I do when I get home if I have no plans is to change into yoga pants (Which I would never wear to do yoga. I feel like everyone can see underware lines!) and a cute and cozy sweater. This fits that perfectly! Love the drape, the hem line, and the decorative ribbon! Also, how warm does this look? I can kind of see wearing this out even for that quick run to the store. Adorable!

So, today was kind of a bummer day. We have a new hire at work, and he’s gorge and funny and smart and basically the perfect guy. Except… found out today he’s gay. So, bummer! My obvious reaction to this news in to nerd out on my couch in my pajamas and drink some delish hot chocolate and watch some Doctor Who and accept the fact that unless some kind of major structural changes happen, he’s never going to be into me :) So, when I saw this it made me smile! How great would my comfort hot chocolate be in a TARDIS mug?! Uh, perfection!

Everyone has that friend that we all know will turn into the crazy cat lady given enough time. In my circle of friends, it’s widely suspected it will be me (Well, truthfully, I’ll have to get a farm with all the animals I want when I’m older)!
